Ryan leads our client relationship team and is the key “Relationship Manager” for many of our valued clients, specializing in servicing their complex business and planning issues. Ryan became a business partner in 2014 and shares the visionary role with Chris.
Since joining the team in 1998, Ryan has been a key contributor to our success. He earned his Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation and Financial Planning Standards Council Level 1 Certification, and is licensed as a Portfolio Manager. He is also licensed to provide insurance advice and to trade equity options.
Ryan was born and raised in Victoria. He and his wife, Jill, have two children, Elise and Brody. He is an avid football fan and enjoys playing golf and slo-pitch, as well as coaching his children’s sports teams.
Erika is a “Relationship Manager” who is passionate about creating value for our clients in her role as an advisor. She services many of their inquiries and needs, working closely with Ryan and Larissa. She also focuses on clients’ big picture issues, including financial planning and estate planning.
Erika joined Chris Raper & Associates in June 2007, after graduating with distinction from the University of Victoria with a double major in Mathematics and French. She is a fully-licensed Registered Representative, having completed a number of industry courses such as the Wealth Management Essentials and the Financial Planning Supplement.
Outside of work, Erika enjoys spending time with her husband, Luke, and their daughter, Elin. She also makes time for social sports, playing slo-pitch in the summer and curling in the winter.
Larissa is one of our “Relationship Managers”, a role which she assumed in a relatively short period of time. In addition to meeting with clients independently, she works closely with Ryan and Erika in a supporting capacity. She is passionate about helping clients meet their goals, and is actively involved in many of the financial plans and projections we prepare.
Larissa joined our team in August 2016, with experience in the financial services industry dating back to 2012. In addition to being fully-licensed as a Registered Representative, she has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
After spending the majority of her life as a Vancouverite, Larissa made the move to the island in 2016. In her spare time, she serves on the steering committee for the Victoria chapter of Women in Capital Markets. She also enjoys playing sports such as golf and slo-pitch, as well as attending local “foodie” events.
John is our team’s “Chief Trader” and is responsible for administering our discretionary investment platform, executing the trades for all accounts within the program. In addition to producing The Opportunity Update in-house, he also works with Ryan, Erika and Larissa in a supporting role, assisting them with a wide variety of client inquiries and needs.
John joined Chris Raper & Associates in May 2014 after completing his diploma in Business Administration at Camosun College. He came to us with a background in accounting and has since completed the Wealth Management Essentials, Advanced Investment Strategies and Portfolio Management Techniques courses.
John is a lifelong resident of the Saanich Peninsula. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, road trips, cooking, and adventuring with his son, Jack.
As the team’s “Client Service Representative”, Natalie is the first point of contact when you call the office. She is responsible for processing account documentation, performance reporting, and distributing our quarterly communications.
Originally from Prince George, BC, Natalie joined Chris Raper & Associates in May 2017. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria as an Economics major, it was a natural fit to jumpstart her career in the financial services industry. Since joining the team, she has successfully become licensed as an Investment Representative.
Outside the office, Natalie enjoys staying active, travelling, and spending time with her family.
